Social Skills Development

Social wellness is imperative to mental wellness. As previously stated, navigating relationships can be difficult and require honing our social skills. It is easy to feel anxious and awkward when around new people, and having confidence can feel empowering. These skills can be worked on in individual counseling as well as group counseling. Counselors can help to reflect areas of improvement and what is going well, as well as model alternative ways to communicate.
