Assertiveness

Both talk therapy and play therapy can help clients of all ages build assertiveness. These skills that can help clients make sure they place importance in their needs as well as others’. Counseling can help clients learn communication skills, including the differences between passive, aggressive and assertive communication. Assertiveness may help to build confidence and self-esteem for those clients who tend to hold their wants and needs inside.
